We are here to help you! The Buchanan County Prosecutor’s Office has created a special division to handle all domestic violence related cases. This division includes one full-time prosecutor and a full-time victim advocate. 

If you are a victim of domestic violence, please know that you are not alone. 

On average, 600 domestic violence cases are submitted to this office each year by law enforcement agencies.
           
In 2006, the Buchanan County Prosecutor’s Office, in conjunction with Probation and Parole and the YWCA, began the formation of a Domestic Violence Court. This is the first and only such Court in the State of Missouri.
